About:

I'm Karla, and I believe ceremonies should feel handled — not heavy.

I'm a Justice of the Peace serving Connecticut and the Northeast, and I specialize in life transitions that don't need all the traditional excess to feel meaningful.

Marriage. Vow renewals. Milestone moments. The ceremonies that mark real shifts in your life — handled with intention, clarity, and warmth, without religious doctrine or emotional performance.

What I bring to your moment

I've spent 20+ years in luxury fashion and beauty operations — leading teams, managing complex projects, and ensuring high-stakes moments run flawlessly. That same discipline shows up in how I approach ceremonies: meticulous preparation, attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm when things don't go exactly as planned.

I understand how to create an elevated experience without excess. How to bring polish to any space — whether it's a backyard, a warehouse, or a plant shop. And how to make people feel cared for without making them feel managed.

I don't perform emotion. I don't borrow legitimacy from tradition. I create it through competence, preparation, and presence.

My job is to hold your moment steady enough that you can relax into it — to laugh if you want to laugh, to breathe if you need to breathe, to feel like yourselves instead of like you're performing for an audience.

Why "Pronounced"?

Because that's what I do — I pronounce you married, committed, renewed. It's the moment everything shifts from "almost" to "official."

But also because your story deserves to be pronounced clearly. Seen. Acknowledged. Held with care.

Who this is for

You, if you're:

  • Planning an elopement, minimony, or micro wedding (2–30 people)

  • Renewing vows after years together — or finally having the ceremony you actually wanted

  • Marking a life transition that matters to you, even if it doesn't look "traditional"

  • Spiritual but not religious, or simply uninterested in ceremonial scripts that don't reflect who you are

  • Seeking clarity and ease instead of chaos and performance

What working with me looks like

We start with a conversation — about your story, your values, what this moment means to you.

I write a ceremony that reflects all of that. Personal, clear, grounded. Nothing generic. Nothing borrowed from a template unless it actually fits.

On the day, I show up early, prepared, and calm. I manage the flow so you don't have to think about logistics. I make it official. And then I step back so you can enjoy what comes next.

A few things I don't do

I don't upsell you on things you don't need.

I don't assume your ceremony needs to be religious — or that it needs to avoid religion if that matters to you.

I don't treat this like a performance. I'm not here to steal focus or manufacture emotion.

I don't operate like the wedding industry. My pricing is transparent. My process is clear. And I'll never tell you that your moment needs to be bigger, louder, or more expensive to be legitimate.

Let's talk about your ceremony

Whether you're eloping next month or planning a vow renewal for your tenth anniversary, I'd love to hear what you're envisioning.
